Ellsbury Hits HR In GCL Game

BOSTON (CBS) - Injured Red Sox center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury hit his first home run of the year Monday night, as he works his way back from a shoulder injury that sidelined him in April.

Ellsbury went 1-for-2 with a home run and a walk for the Rookie Level Gulf Coast League Red Sox Monday night, playing six innings in center field.

It was Ellsbury's third rehab game, and he is now 2-for-6 with a double, home run, four walks and a pair of strikeouts.

Ellsbury suffered a subluxation in his right shoulder back on April 13 while sliding into second base. He has missed all but seven games this season, batting .192 with three RBI.
