ESPNBoston.com reports that Patriots receiver Randy Moss was diagnosed with a separated shoulder following the season and that it was the reason he did not play in the Pro Bowl.

Moss was first listed on the team's injury report with a shoulder ailment in the middle of October after the Patriots lost to the Broncos in Denver.
