Prosecuter says C.O. runs on disability benefits

It's a case of taking the money and running. A former Massachusetts correction officer has been indicted on charges that he collected workers' compensation while takeing part in a marathon and a number of half marathons.
John Clouthier of Freetown allegedly ran competitively while collecting more than $56,000 in benefits.
The state Attorney General's office says the alleged scam went on from the time Clouthier suffered a work-releaed injury in July 2008 until they received a tip earlier this year.
Clouthier claimed he could not perform any strenuous activities.
