Patriots Terminate Contract Of Brian Waters
BOSTON (CBS) - The New England Patriots have officially terminated the contract of guard Brian Waters.
The 36-year-old Waters was placed on the reserve/did not report list prior to the 2012 season when he did not report to the team. Waters was signed through last season with New England, but is now a free agent and can sign with any team should he choose to play a 13th NFL season.
Waters was very effective on the Patriots offensive line in his only season in New England, but did not report to any of the team's OTAs during the offseason or the team's mandatory mini-camp.
Waters spent the first 12 seasons of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2011 for the sixth time in his career.
