Patriots, Matt Light Agree On 2-Year Deal

FOXBORO (CBS) - The Patriots and long-time offensive tackle Matt Light reached agreement on a two-year deal, according to several reports.

The 33-year-old Light is entering his 11th season, and he has been protecting quarterback Tom Brady's blindside since starting 15 games (including the playoffs) as a rookie in 2001.

For now, Light will likely continue to start at left tackle, as the team has not yet reached an agreement with first round pick Nate Solder.

"Matt's been a good player for us for a long time," Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio said to reporters on Sunday.

Light re-joins fellow tackle Sebastian Vollmer, guards Logan Mankins and Dan Connolly, and center Dan Koppen on the offensive line.
