Patients Possibly Exposed To Scabies At NH Medical Clinics

BOSTON (CBS) – A health alert has been issued for patients and healthcare staff who may have been exposed to crusted scabies in New Hampshire.

Some people may have been exposed in several Dartmouth-Hitchcock Manchester clinics and Catholic Medical Center.

Crusted scabies is a contagious, itchy skin condition caused by mites.

NH health officials are preparing a series of precautionary preventive treatment clinics on March 9, 10, and 11 for anyone who may have been exposed.
