Worker Burned In 'Flash Fire' At Lynn Chemical Plant
LYNN (CBS) --- One person was seriously injured in what police are calling a 'flash fire' at a West Lynn chemical plant.
Shortly before 11 a.m. the fire was reported at C.L. Hauthaway & Sons Corporation on Summer Street.
The company specializes is broad water-based polyurethane coatings for concrete and wood floors, leather seating and flame retardant coatings for textiles.
Police say the injured worker was mixing chemicals when the vapors ignited.
The injured person was taken to Mass. General Hospital with serious burns to the face.
