NightSide - Should Massachusetts Ditch Our Time Zone?
BOSTON (CBS) - Daylight Savings Time ended this past Sunday, and we are now back to Standard Time. Though that extra hour of sleep on Sunday is always nice, many were caught off guard by how early the sun now sets in the evening. Leaving work at 5pm now means walking to your car under the cover of darkness, and many of us have a hard time adjusting to a lack of daylight. People seem to naturally prefer Daylight Savings Time, as the "fall back" date has been pushed later and later over the years. Instead of fighting this time change, why not adopt the Atlantic Time Zone, which would mean we essentially would have permanent Daylight Savings Time? What do you think? Are you sick of the early darkness? Or do you like the current approach?
