NightSide - Oregon Handcuffs Its Police
BOSTON (CBS) - The Oregon Supreme Court ruled this summer that police officers no longer have the right to ask individuals if they are carrying a gun unless they have a specific, compelling reason to believe that person has a weapon. Do you think this is a good precedent to set? Or should police officers always be able to ask about weapons, regardless of the situation? Are we making it too difficult for police officers to do their jobs safely? Or are we simply holding them to the high bar of respecting and not abusing their power and authority?
