NightSide - Obama's Worst Foreign Policy Failure
BOSTON (CBS) - The Syrian city of Aleppo, considered the heart of the refugee crisis, has been decimated. Assad's forces, in conjunction with support from Russia and Iran, have taken most of the city back from rebels, killing at least eighty-two civilians (including eleven women and thirteen children) in the process. In some cases, the pro-government forces reportedly entered the homes of civilians and simply executed everyone they found inside. We can all agree that what is happening in Aleppo is terrible, but was it avoidable? Did President Obama set the stage for this massacre by drawing a "line in the sand" in 2012, and then refusing to enforce it? Is the tragic situation in Aleppo President Obama's biggest foreign policy failure of the last eight years?
