BOSTON (CBS) - Closing the achievement gap in our schools has been a challenge, but a task that most would call well worth the effort. METCO is one of the programs that focuses on promoting diversity and educational opportunity for all. Jamie Gass, of the Pioneer Institute, Katani Sumner, the METCO Coordinator in Newton, and Susan Eaton, Research Director of the Harvard Law Center on Race, join Dan to talk about the program. They say METCO should receive even more resources, despite the tough times.
