Mutilated Body Found On Upscale Milton Street

MILTON (CBS) - "This was particularly gruesome," says Milton Police Chief Richard Wells, in describing the mutilated body of a young black male, found in an upscale, secluded neighborhood in Milton last night.

Investigators on Brierbrook Street could be seen picking up pieces of the body dumped on the street and front yards, and placing them in a large plastic bag. "There was no I.D. on the body, and he was very small...maybe 120 pounds, between the age of 15 and 20...maybe 21. And his fingerprints are not in our database," Wells said.

A driver made the horrible discovery Monday night about 9:30, and it has shaken the residents of this well-heeled neighborhood. "It was gruesome...I wouldn't want anyone to see that," said Chris Tosi.

Another neighbor couldn't believe it was a human. "I thought it was a deer that had been hit by a car," said Julie Zhen.

Wells says the case is considered a homicide. Police theorize the young man was murdered somewhere else, then driven to Milton, mutilated, and the body dumped.

WBZ-TV's Bill Shields reports

Authorities said Tuesday night that an autopsy has been completed, but the cause and manner of death remain undetermined pending additional tests. That includes toxicology tests.

Investigators do not believe the victim lived in the upscale neighborhood and Wells says the killing does not appear to be connected to any criminal activity in the area.
