Mass. State Trooper Stops To Save Turtle Trying To Cross Route 1
LYNNFIELD (CBS) -- A Massachusetts State Police Trooper stopped a turtle that was trying to get across Route 1 Monday, relocating it to safety.
"Trooper Maloney ordered the turtle off the roadway," Mass. State Police wrote in a Facebook post Tuesday. "The turtle was slow to comply but finally listened when Tpr Maloney's command presence kicked in."
State Police said the turtle was taken with the assistance of a concerned citizen to Topsfield, where it was placed in an aquatic environment.
