Logan Airport passengers face more flight delays and cancellations
Flight delays and cancellations were an issue again at Logan Airport in Boston Monday.
Forty-five flights had been canceled as of early afternoon and 158 were delayed.
That's after a weekend where hundreds of flights were delayed and dozens were canceled at Logan due to weather issues around the country.
There were 427 delays and 65 cancellations Saturday, according to FlightAware after Massachusetts was blanketed with snow. There were more than 270 delays and 42 cancellations Sunday. The interference left passengers frustrated.
"I woke up, it was delayed four hours, kept getting pushed back. Then it was canceled, now it says it's not canceled. So I don't really know," said Angela Alibrandi, who was trying to get to Tampa, Florida. "I'm just trying to get down to see my friend and her family, spend some of the holidays with them."
Arlington resident Heather Hill and her family were also attempting to get to Florida to get on a cruise.
"Delta has cancelled both flights to Miami and can't do anything for us," Hill explained.
So the family of five was stuck with a flight to Atlanta, and then an overnight 9-hour drive to Miami in the hopes of making it to the cruise ship by Sunday afternoon.
Francisco Rodriguez was traveling between Christmas and New Year's Eve for the first time. He's been trying to get back to Atlanta since Friday.
"This is the third time I'm here at the airport because of delays, cancellations," he said. "So I'm just trying to get home."
Another woman is remaining patient, though she told WBZ-TV that isn't the case for her entire party.
"I just want to get where I need to be. My husband is a little cranky right now," she joked.
