Massachusetts Responsible For More Than Half The Nation's Job Growth In June
BOSTON (CBS) - June turned out to be an impressive month for job growth in Massachusetts.
Nationally, companies added a total of 18,000 jobs. An astounding 57% of those new job gains came from Massachusetts.
The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development said on Thursday the state added 10,400 jobs in June.

Overall, the unemployment rate in Massachusetts held steady at 7.6 percent, well below the national unemployment rate of 9.2 percent.
