Mass. Residents No Longer Paying The Most For Health Insurance

BOSTON (CBS) - Health insurance premiums are continuing to get more expensive, but rates in Massachusetts are no longer the priciest in the country.

A report by the Commonwealth Fund shows that Massachusetts now has the 9th highest rates.

The report says the average annual health insurance premium in the country has climbed 50% since 2003 to just under $14,000.

Health insurance premium costs in Massachusetts have risen 48% since 2003, just below the national average increase.
