Manhole Fires Close Boston Intersection
BOSTON (CBS) -- Three manhole fires shut down an intersection in Boston Monday morning. Sections of School and Tremont streets remained closed for hours.
The Boston Fire Department responded to the scene and were able to extinguish the fires before 8:15 a.m.
Eversource was called in to investigate what caused the fires.
As of 3 p.m., School Street had reopened, police said.
No one was injured and power was not affected.
It is unclear when the roads will reopen.
