Lynn Teacher Behind Bars For Allegedly Running Down Ex's Girlfriend
LYNN (CBS) --- A fourth grade teacher from Swampscott is being held behind bars after police say she ran down her ex-husband's girlfriend in a minivan.
Kimberly English, 49, was arraigned at Lynn District Court Wednesday morning on charges of assault with attempt murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene of personal injury, driving left of center, driving to endanger, restraining order violation and speeding.

A judge ordered her held without bail.
Police found the victim on the pavement on Magnolia Road, Tuesday. Police say English made statements about hoping the victim dies.
The victim was taken to North Shore Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
According to prosecutors, English's ex-husband had requested a restraining order last year but did not show up for the hearing.
He did have a restraining order against her on behalf of his children.
English has been a teacher at Ingalls Elementary School in Lynn since 2005. The last two years she has worked as a special education teacher.
"Pending the outcome of the investigation, we will place her on administrative leave," Superintendent Dr. Catherine Latham said.
She'll be back in court on October 17 for a dangerousness hearing.
