Louis C.K. Has No Problem With DeflateGate

BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots fans have been defending their team throughout the recent "Deflategate" controversy, and the team has been adamant that they did nothing wrong.

But if the Patriots did use under-inflated footballs on purpose in the AFC Championship game, one of the funniest men on the planet is A-OK with it.

Louis C.K., a Boston native and Patriots fan, defended the team Monday night while appearing on "The Late Show With David Letterman." When Letterman (a Colts fan) asked why the Patriots would consider bending the rules, C.K. said it was pretty simple.

"Well, because they want to win real bad. Sometimes you do stuff that's not fair, so that you can win. I have no problem with it. I think it's hilarious," he said. "It's a stupid football game. Just deflate the balls, poke a guy in the eye or whatever. It's football."

With what the story has evolved into over the last two weeks (we're now talking about ball boys taking bathroom breaks), C.K.'s take on the matter fits right in.

Tune in to Super Bowl XLIX on 98.5 The Sports Hub — the flagship station of the New England Patriots. It's the only place to hear Bob Socci & Scott Zolak's local call of the game!
