2 Drivers Hurt In Crash That Shut Down Route 119 In Littleton

LITTLETON (CBS) – Two drivers were hurt Wednesday morning in a 3-car crash that shut down Route 119 in Littleton for several hours.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. near Lawrence Street.

Police said it appears a Jeep Grand Cherokee was heading east on Route 119 when it crossed over the center line and slammed into an Acura sedan that was going the other way.

A box truck heading west wasn't able to stop and also crashed into the Jeep.

Firefighters removed the drivers of the heavily damaged Jeep and Acura following "extensive" efforts.

The driver of the Jeep was taken to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center by MedFlight. The Acura driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance. No one else was hurt.

Littleton Police are investigating what caused the crash.
