BOSTON (CBS) - From the subway, to the highway and the runway; the head of the MBTA is getting a big promotion. Richard Davey will take over for Jeff Mullan as the head of the Transportation Department.
Mullan is leaving after a high-profile series of problems.
But will the switch boost commuter confidence?

While Governor Patrick sounded obligatory notes of hope as he announced the umpteenth transportation management shakeup of his tenure, most rush hour commuters WBZ spoke with were ultra-skeptical.
"You'd love to see them get some consistency and accountability in running the overall system," said one man. "Any taxpayer would ask that."
"It's a revolving door," said a woman. "You just don't know with the way things are up at the State House what's gonna happen next."
