The Celtics could be without superstar Jayson Tatum for the second game of the NBA playoffs after he suffered a wrist injury against the Orlando Magic on Sunday.

On Tuesday, the Celtics released their injury report for Wednesday's Game 2 at TD Garden, saying Tatum is officially doubtful. Tatum is the only player listed as he deals with what Boston described as a right distal radius bone bruise.

Tatum suffered the injury with 8:28 remaining in Game 1 as he went up for a dunk and was hit hard by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. Tatum landed awkwardly, and stayed down wincing in pain. He missed two free throws after Caldwell-Pope's foul was upgraded to a flagrant, then stayed in the game.

The Celtics went on to win the game 103-86 to take a 1-0 series lead. Tatum was quiet overall in the contest, scoring 17 points on 8-22 shooting, though he did grab 14 rebounds.

Tatum didn't say much about his injury after Game 1, but did tell reporters postgame an X-ray came back negative.

"I just landed on it. It was throbbing for a second," Tatum said. "It kind of went away."

Head coach Joe Mazzulla was asked about the injury on Tuesday.

"He was able to do some stuff," Mazzulla said regarding Tatum at practice. "He was sore after the game. It's gotten a little better today. He was going to go through some on-court work and we'll go from there."
