FRANCONIA, N.H. (CBS) -- A team of rescuers carried an injured Canadian hiker 3-and-a-half miles off New Hampshire's Mount Lafayette over the weekend.
The injured woman's husband called 911 on Saturday afternoon to report that his wife injured her leg while coming down the mountain.
A team of rescuers put the 55-year-old woman on a stretcher. It took them nearly five hours to carry her to the trailhead, where she was taken to a hospital for further evaluation.
