On Monday, Gov. Deval Patrick toured storm damage in Western Mass. and then stopped by the MEMA bunker. He has been on conference calls with his emergency response team, and has been in daily contact with the utilities.

WBZ-TV's Karen Anderson reports:

But, thousands of Bay State residents are still in the dark. On Wednesday, the Governor was at an event at the White House with the President.

"He's back at the White House and from my numbers, I see several hundred thousand homes without power is a poor decision on his part," said Jones.

Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray said the Governor is pushing the utilities for better results. He said they are not pleased with what they've seen so far.

Melanie Smart hasn't had electricity for four days, but is willing to give Gov. Patrick some slack.

"I believe he is doing the best he can. I feel bad for all the electrical people who have been criticized they are doing the best they can too," said Smart.

Jim Berini wants results.

"That's their job that's why we elected them. They are here to face every problem we have," said Berini.

Thursday, Gov. Patrick will be back touring damage in Western Mass., but he still has no plans for any visits to the eastern part of the state.
