HOPKINTON (CBS) -- A serious crash involving two cars, a box truck, and two tractor-trailers left one person injured and was still causing delays hours after it happened Monday morning.

The crash happened just after 8 a.m. on the eastbound side of the Massachusetts Turnpike before Exit 11A on the Hopkinton-Westboro line.

State Police warned commuters to expect delays, and said around 10:30 a.m. that traffic was backed up about ten miles, almost to route 122 near Worcester.

The vehicles involved were a tractor-trailer driven by a 54-year-old Pittsfield man, another driven by a 40-year-old Gloversville, New York man, a Hino box truck driven by a 31-year-old Belchertown man, a Chevy Terrain driven by a 32-year-old Worcester woman, and a Mitsubishi Lancer driven by a 32-year-old Agawam man.

Massachusetts State Police said the driver of one of the tractor-trailers was ejected during the crash. Nearly half of the truck's cab was ripped off.
