Help Boston Children's Hospital By Getting A Haircut
BOSTON (CBS) - If a spring haircut is part of your routine, here's a little extra incentive. You can help raise money for Boston Children's Hospital.
For a $40 donation, you can get a haircut at a participating salon on Sunday, April 12th.
This year's event is expected to raise more than $200,000 for Boston Children's Hospital and kids like seven year-old Annika Seed. Annika joined WBZ-TV's Lisa Hughes at Salon Mario Russo to promote the upcoming event.
Annika has had eight heart surgeries at the hospital, most recently an open-heart surgery a year ago. Thanks to the great care she has received, she has no physical limitations and says she feels great.
Annika's little brother had brain surgery at Boston Children's Hospital. Their mother, Allison Seed says the hospital is a lifesaver. Allison tells Lisa that the whole family gets the kind of support that makes them feel safe and supported through every ordeal.
