Gresh & Zo: Red Sox Reality Show Starring Josh Beckett

If the Josh Beckett golfing-while-injured story doesn't appear to be going away any time soon, it's only because the stories given by various members of the Red Sox just don't add up.

Gresh & Z0 opened Monday's show discussing the ongoing saga involving the Beckett golf outing. They went over the timeline of events over the course of the past week, including comments from Beckett, Bobby Valentine and Ben Cherington.

Scott Zolak said that part of the reason for the unclear representation of the truth is that Valentine's not being allowed to be honest.

"I feel bad for Bobby Valentine because I feel he's been neutered like a dog," Zo said. "I don't think he has two legs to stand on. I think he wants to say things but yet you watch him kind of meander through a postgame press conference, and everything is thought of and thought out before he speaks. There's an odd delay there after every single question that's posed to him. ... I think it's been told to him how things are done around here, and he's learning on the fly. ... I think Bobby may have thought this job [was going to be] a little different."
