Franklin Man Struck, Killed On Route 495

FRANKLIN (CBS) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 495 early Sunday morning.

Anthony Santucci, 41, of Franklin, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened around 12:22 a.m. on Route 495 South near Exit 17. Massachusetts State Police said Santucci was in the center lane when he was struck by a Honda that was travelling in that lane.

The driver of the Honda, a 32-year-old woman from Cumberland, Rhode Island, stayed at the scene after the crash.

No charges have been filed. State Police said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
