FEMA Assistance & Legal Advice Available For Mass. Tornado Victims
SPRINGFIELD (CBS) - Federal officials are hoping more tornado victims in western and central Massachusetts come forward to register for disaster assistance as several more disaster recovery centers open this week.
FEMA spokesman Jeb Killion says they've already been registering people for help at disaster recovery centers in Springfield and West Springfield. He stressed how important it is for victims to register.

"Please get into the system and don't stop applying for things because some things may come through some things may be pushed to the next level," Killion emphasized.

Centers in Agawam, Brimfield, Sturbridge and Wilbraham opened Monday. Disaster centers in Monson, Southbridge and Westfield were scheduled to open Tuesday.

Also this week, on Wednesday, anyone with legal issues stemming from the tornadoes will be offered free legal advice from attorneys volunteering their time and expertise.
