Family to receive body of murder victim

A man accused of killing his 19-year-old wife in Framingham has legally released her body to her family for burial.
Family members held a memorial service on Friday for Heather Alleyne, but postponed her burial.
State law gives surviving spouses first priority to receive a body from the medical examiner.
In this case the surviving spouse is 25-year-old Kyle Alleyne, who has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of his wife earlier this month.
A spokesman for the Executive Office of Public Safety tells The MetroWest Daily News on Friday that Alleyne has agreed the state can return his wife's body to her family.
