Fallen Boston Police Officer Honored On 50th Anniversary
BOSTON (CBS) - A plaque was dedicated to a Boston police officer killed in the line of duty 50 years ago.
Officer John Gallagher was shot and killed in the line of duty responding to a call for a bank alarm back on May 25, 1962.
On Friday, members of the Boston Police Department honored Gallagher at the location where he was killed, 540 Commonwealth Ave.
A Hero Sign was dedicated in his name.
