THE DEFENSE
Q: Where do you live?
Q: How old are you?
A: I am thirty-two.
Q: Where did you get your car?
A: I got it at BMW Gallery of Norwood and it was a good experience.
Q:This car obviously has a lot of personality. What made you choose it?
A: My previous car was a 2005 Infiniti G35 Coupe which had rear wheel drive. Although I loved the car for its power and looks, it attracted too much unwanted attention. And it was horrible in the winters. I had to purchase wheels that had snow tires just to make it driveable during the winters. The main things I was looking for in a car at that time was it had to be a manual, all wheel drive, navigation, leather seats, sunroof, certified pre-owned, low miles, and it had to be nicer than my last car.
Q: What is your car's main use?
A: It has turned into my weekend car because I started renting a house last fall. I invested in a used truck, a 1999 Ford Ranger. I have been driving the truck to work and around town. Actually, I like driving the truck a lot even though it's not close to being as nice as the BMW.
Q: What is your favorite thing about the car?
A: It would have to be between the looks, the all wheel drive, or just the fun factor of driving the car. It may not have as much power as my previous car, but the responsiveness is incomparable to the cars I have driven before.
Q: How long do you hope to have it?
A: I have always been someone who gets bored of things real quick. I had been trading in cars every two years, but this time I think I will keep the car for much longer. The way I will counter the boredom factor is to do some modifications to the car each year to spice it up. For example, I had pretty much kept the car stock for the first two years. But just this year, I decided to upgrade my suspension--KW V1 Coilovers--and upgrade the wheels from the stock 17 inch wheels to 19 inch Linea Corse Lemans with summer tires. Completely changes the look and feel of the drive. Such a great upgrade and kept me from getting bored of the car. Who knows what next year will bring!
Q:What is your absolute dream car?
A: Ever since I saw the Audi R8 in person, I have been in love with it. As of right now, I would say the Audi R8, but I have always been in love with Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Aston Martins.
Q: What do you think your next car will be?
A: I honestly do not know. I would like to think that I will continue to work my way up the career ladder and be able to upgrade my car again to something nicer. But for now, I am happy with what I have. And priorities change in life, so who knows, maybe I will be driving a minivan as my next vehicle. Yikes!
Q: Anything else you'd like to share?
A: I am a huge car enthusiast, but an even bigger motorcycle enthusiast. Let me know when that interview happens and I will talk you to death about motorcycles and track days!
