Beginning next month - anonymous comments are out.
Founder Arianna Huffington made the announcement yesterday at tech conference in Boston.
Huffington told the crowd "Freedom of expression is given to people who stand up for what they're saying and not hiding behind anonymity."
The new policy is a big deal for a website that has registered hundreds of millions of comments since launching 8 years ago.
CBSBoston.com allows readers to post comments as long as they provide an e-mail address.
The new policy will undoubtedly be hard to police.
