Daily Talker: Random Acts Of Kindness

This is Random Acts of Kindness Week. To celebrate, a global app took a closer look at how often people perform random acts of kindness and why.

SKOUT surveyed more than 2,700 of its users last month. They found 65 percent of those surveyed say they perform a random act of kindness daily. 83 percent say they randomly do something kind for someone at least once a week. The majority of people say they do it because it makes them feel good. 23 percent say they do it because of their religion, while 16 percent believe in karma. Only 4 percent admit they do kind things in hopes of receiving accolades. One percent say they do it hoping for some kind of financial gain. Some of the most meaningful random acts of kindness are leaving a generous tip, paying for others coffee, giving a friend a hug when they least expect it and holding the door open for someone. What do you think? Do you believe 65 percent of people perform a random act of kindness every day? Do you see enough random acts of kindness? What do you do, to be kind to others?
