At about 11:30 a.m., Norton resident Christopher Cantwell, 51, was driving along Mansfield Avenue when his car entered flew into water near Smith Street, travelling about 100 feet into the reservoir.
Cantwell was able to escape the sinking car, and police and firefighters hauled both it and him to the shore.
