Brooks, Joseph Heading To Boston In Pierce-Garnett Trade
BOSTON (CBS) - The Celtics and Nets stole the show on draft night, agreeing in principle to a blockbuster trade that will send Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to Brooklyn and a hefty package of players and draft picks back to Boston.
The deal cannot become official until July 10, but it's becoming clearer just who will be heading back to Boston.
It was originally reported that rebounding-machine Reggie Evans and forward Tornike Shengelia were off to the Celtics, but multiple reports now say second-year guard MarShon Brooks and second-year forward Kris Joseph will be part of the package instead.

Brooks, who the Celtics originally drafted for Brooklyn in 2011 before swapping him for JaJuan Johnson, had a strong rookie campaign two years ago, averaging 12.6 points per game in 56 games, starting 47 of them. He found himself on the Brooklyn bench last year though, averaging just 5.4 points over 73 games -- only two of which were starts.
The 24-year-old Brooks is still on his rookie contract, and will be under the Celtics' control for three more seasons. He offers Boston a young guard that has some offensive pop, and could see more minutes as the Celtics rebuild.

Boston selected Joseph in the second round last year out of Syracuse, but cut him in January before his deal became guaranteed.
With Brooks and Joseph now in the mix, Boston is expected to receive Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, Keith Bogans and three first -round picks from Brooklyn.
