Brockton twins deaths ruled accidental

Authorities have ruled the drownings of 4-year-old twin sisters in the swimming pool at their Brockton home an accident.

The girls were not breathing when they were pulled from the in-ground pool at about 10:30 a.m. on July 31. Linsay Bonsu died that day. Lesley Bonsu died the next day. Authorities say they were under the care of their 9-year-old sister at the time.

A spokeswoman for the district attorney's office says the girls died of an accidental drowning.

A spokeswoman for the state Department of Children and Families tells The Enterprise of Brockton that the agency's investigation into the family is continuing.

A wake and funeral are planned for Friday and Saturday.
