Boston's Violent Streak Continues With Dorchester Shooting
DORCHESTER (CBS) - For a second straight evening, there was violence in Boston.
For nearly two hours Thursday, police and SWAT focused their attention on a triple-decker in Dorchester.
They were looking for a suspect who they say pulled out a gun and shot a man in his 20's as he was walking near Bowdoin and Norton streets.
He was taken to Boston Medical Center in critical condition, but he is expected to survive.
The shooter has not been captured.
Police don't think it's gang related, but aren't saying much else.
"It's really scary. I don't even feel safe going to the store. I don't bring (my children) to no parks around here because I'm scared they're going to get hit by a stray bullet," neighborhood resident Laqueena Bennett told WBZ-TV.
This shooting follows a shocking night of violence in and around Boston Wednesday.
There were four different crime scenes, eight people shot, five of them were killed.
