Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
For more than 50 years this 30 foot by 40 foot "cozy" basement lounge has been home to local folk music lovers. Regulars warn this isn't the place for chatting with your friends, but rather sitting back and listening.

Mondays at 8 p.m.
Regulars agree their favorite lounge may be "gritty", but say it's all part of the ambiance. Cash only and don't expect food service, but Cantab has built a reputation over the last two decades as one of the best open mic venues around. Artists get two songs, unless the audience requests an encore.
