February is National Cherry Month and National Cherry Pie Day is February 20. Cherry is one of those versatile things that can be featured everywhere from a stiff cocktail to a savory entrée, to a sweet dessert. These spots in the Boston area are the perfect place to eat and drink up the red small fruit in a variety of ways.

Featuring locations throughout the Boston area, Salvatore's has quickly become the place to go for quality Italian cuisine and cocktails. When it comes to cherries, the restaurant offers a really unique pizza. The Vignola cherry pizza includes dried Italian cherries soaked in raspberry vodka with fresh mozzarella, gorgonzola, prosciutto and orange blossom honey, for the ultimate combination. It's available as a 12" pie for $16 or for the 19," is $24. To drink alongside the pizza, try the Cherry Collins with Grey Goose cherry noir, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup and soda for $10 or the midnight Martinez with Grey Goose cherry noir, dry vermouth and orange zest for $11.

The Kentucky boot features Buffalo Trace, Meletti Amaro, citonage and brandied cherries for $10 and another option, the Rumberry flip, includes Bacardi 8 and cherry herring for $10.
