Water Main Break Shuts Down Part Of North End Street
BOSTON (CBS) – A water main break caused problems in the North End Wednesday morning.
It happened on Richmond Street between Hanover and North streets just after 5 a.m.
The water department said an 8-inch pipe broke and about a dozen customers were affected. They shut down the main until repairs could be done. Water service returned to the neighborhood just before noon.
There's no word yet on what caused the pipe to break.
