Former Boston Marathon Winner Des Linden Drops In On Virtual Runners
ALLSTON (CBS) – A group of runners had a celebrity visitor as they ran their Boston Athletic Association Virtual 5K on Sunday.
Former Boston Marathon winner Des Linden showed up as pairs of runners began their race at Herter Park in Allston.
The BAA started the new tradition - the 2021 Patriots Day Mile - as a way for runners of all levels to run a mile or more. Runners are doing their socially distanced 5K virtually this year due to the pandemic.
