Bedard: Roger Goodell Is Completely Clueless And Needs To Go

BOSTON (CBS) - Wiggy is long gone on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Felger & Mazz show, but luckily we have TheMMQB.com's Greg Bedard to fill the void.

While it's nearly impossible to re-create 10 Questions With Wiggy, the guys have the next best thing with Around The League With Greg Bedard. The guys got Bedard's take on each of the following topics, complete with a fantastic buzzer to let them know when time was up.

Here are the questions for Bedard:

- Was the Ray Rice decision the right one? And if this was an independent endeavor, how does NFL commissioner Roger Goodell get the benefit of this being announced on the Friday after Thanksgiving?

"It was obviously the right ruling, and the judge basically said that Goodell is a liar and a jackass. Give me a break. It ripped Goodell a new one. If you're an NFL owner, if you're Bob Kraft listening right now, you need to wake up and look at this a little more closely. As far as the independent news dump thing, the NFL agreed to an arbiter. So it's still their show, and they can determine when the findings are released. He needs to go. Ever since that Friday press conference I was waiting to hear him talk and see if he'll react properly. But it's the same thing. He doesn't know. He's completely clueless."

- Josh McDaniel's name has surfaced in conjunction with the University of Florida head coaching job. If you were McDaniels, what job in the world of football should be his target?

"I have a hard time seeing that. I think Josh likes where he's at; he's got a young family and I think he's more of an NFL guy. When was the last time he was at the college level? He could have his hand picked job in the NFL, so why would he go back to college? I think Josh likes the NFL life. His target job should be the New York Giants. You'll have ownership that will give you a very long leash and it's one of the landmark franchises of the NFL. It has everything you want; great owners, great facilities now."

- Brian Hoyer or Johnny Manziel?

"I'm a big Hoyer fan, and all things being equal I would go with him because he's 10-5 as a starter the last two years. Considering the state of the offensive line and how the Browns can't run the ball anymore, I'd go with Manziel. Because it's tough for Brian to function in that offense without a running game."

- J.J. Watt had another touchdown catch on Sunday for the Texans. How do we feel about the way head coach Bill O'Brien is using him?

"Well he's their best tight end. This is a guy who, if he wanted to be a tight end, could be like Rob Gronkowski. I don't have a problem with it. He does enough on defense where I don't think he should be doing that, but Bill O'Brien doesn't have much of a choice because he doesn't have a lot of talent at tight end."

- Who is the biggest tool bag cornerback in the league?

"It's between Antonio Cromartie and Richard Sherman depending how you view Sherman."
