Hole Found Near Spot Pond In Stoneham Deemed "Not Suspicious"
STONEHAM (CBS) --- Authorities were investigating a large hole near Spot Pond late Thursday.
Police say someone found a newly dug hole in the ground and investigators were trying to figure out if it was a grave.
"The report of a shallow grave at Spot Pond in Stoneham was investigated and nothing was found," the Middlesex District Attorney's office said in a statement. "The incident is not suspicious."
State Police were at the scene for several hours Thursday afternoon.
