Arrests Made In Brookline Stabbing, Robbery

BROOKLINE (CBS) – Two people have been arrested for the stabbing and robbery of a Boston University student on Tuesday night.

The 30-year-old post-doctoral student was jumped from behind at Pleasant and Browne Streets around 8:30 p.m.

Brookline officers arrested 19-year-old Wallace Vick and 20-year-old Shaqone Cazeau of Dorchester.

Both are being charged with Armed Robbery While Masked and Armed Assault With Intent to Murder. They are currently being held on bail and will be arraigned Friday.

The day after the robbery, the victim informed police that a credit card that was stolen was used to purchase Charlie Cards at an MBTA station. Transit PD got pictures of the suspects. Those pictures were then released throughout the local law enforcement network and with help from a probation officer and Boston School Police and Boston Police the subjects were identified.

The victim says the two men also stole his iPad, phone and laptop.

Boston University sent an emergency alert email to all students after the attack.
