Fitchburg Fatal Fire
Lisa Englehart, 39, and Christopher Brinkley, 22, were pronounced dead at Leominster Hospital. Frank Huckins Sr., 65, was transported to the Leominster Hospital where was listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
The woman is believed to be the man's aunt.
"The worst thing of it all was hearing the father screaming for his son," neighbor Mark Romano, who witnessed the fire, told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. "That really hit home. My wife started crying. I got emotional. That was not a good scene, it was very awful to watch."
A total of nine people were inside the house at the time.
The other seven escaped, including two children.
One woman was pulled out from a window. A man was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters had a difficult time inside due to the heavy smoke and a great deal of clutter in the house.
There's no word yet on a cause.
The fire spread to a home next door, but was put out before any major damage was done. No one there was hurt.
