WEATHER BLOG: Weather Alerts Issued Throughout Maryland

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the viewing area through 10PM tonight. Strong storms are already making there way through the region from west to east. These storms will be capable of bringing scattered damaging winds to 70mph, scattered large hail, heavy downpours that can lead to flash-flooding and a tornado or two. This nasty weather is associated with a very potent cold front that is pushing east this afternoon and evening. Behind the front, the weather will turn less humid and quieter. Look for highs in the mid 80s on Monday with plenty of sunshine. Another front may bring a spotty shower or t-storm to the area on Tuesday.
