WEATHER BLOG: New Year's Forecast
Low pressure has now moved out of the region leaving behind moisture in the low levels as mid and upper levels are now drying out. A weak zone of high pressure will move across the region overnight keeping us dry, but some patchy fog will remain a possibility. A few showers will be possible Wednesday afternoon and evening. West to northwest flow will then bring dry air for New Year's Eve and carry forward into the first few days of the New Year. Temps will trend downward somewhat on Thursday and Friday, with the chill bottoming out over the weekend.
