WEATHER BLOG: More Rain

Today marks the 19th day of rain (at least a trace or more) at BWI-Marshall. That means only 11 days this June have been completely dry. More rain is in the forecast today and a few showers have already moved through the area. The Storm Prediction Center has us in the "Slight Risk" category for severe weather today, with the most active period being between 2 p.m and 10 p.m. The possible modes of severe weather include damaging winds and hail. Any thunderstorm that does develop will easily produce heavy downpours. Any breaks of sunshine throughout the day will add to the instability in the atmosphere.
