WEATHER BLOG: Major Cold Coming
Big changes are on tap for our weather this afternoon and evening. A clipper system will drop an Arctic cold front through the region. A few snow showers will be possible later today with the frontal passage. Behind the front it will be all about the cold and the wind. A wind advisory has been issued for the region and will go into effect at 4PM this afternoon, lasting through midnight tonight. Gusts as high as 50mph will be possible. The wind will usher in very chilly air and temperatures will crash into the 20s overnight. By tomorrow morning, it will feel more like the single digits when you factor in the wind chill. Plenty of sunshine will be on tap for Wednesday, but it won't help to warm us up at all as highs are forecast in the low 30s.
